Environment Management:

MTSU has undertaken a study through NEERI to address environmental constraints through mitigation and adaptation strategies.

School education and technical education initiatives:

-MTSU organized a workshop,on the Skill Development Initiative Scheme of the Govt.of India

Prepare a plan with a view to integrating the various towns and cities to promote balanced development of the region.

MTSU has conducted a detailed house-to-house socio-economic survey of over 10,000 houses in BDD Chawls.

Citizen's Action Group (CAG)

Established :

Vide G.R. dated 17th July, 2004

Citizen driven entity with its own rules for conduct of its business

Including induction and removal of members

Objectives :

To function as the external monitoring mechanism, Complement and Monitor the Government efforts focusing on the resources of civil society on the tasks and objectives defined by Vision Mumbai’s Task Force, its sub-groups and the Empowered Committee.

Generate energies, ideas, linkages, resources and Citizen Participation.

Promote effective, responsive and proactive Governance in Mumbai.

Mobilize civil society – citizens and business interests – to complement the efforts of the Government in a true Public- Private Partnership to transform Mumbai into a world-class city.

Continue functioning in a dynamic manner with changing needs of Mumbai beyond Vision Mumbai
